Raising the Roof for the Planet: Georgia Roof Advisors’ Volunteer Event

Looking back on this year’s St. Patrick’s Day, we can’t help but smile remembering the laughter, teamwork, and bright green accessories that filled the air when Georgia Roof Advisors joined us for an unforgettable Team Building Volunteer Day.

Led by owners Naomi and James Gasson, the Georgia Roof Advisors team brought their trademark mix of integrity, enthusiasm, and community spirit—qualities that have made them one of the most trusted roofing companies in Metro Atlanta. Their passion for giving back was evident from the moment they arrived, ready to trade ladders for shovels and spend the day supporting the environment and community they care so deeply about.

Together, the group tackled one of our toughest tasks: moving and hauling heavy rocks that had been preventing blackberries and other native plants from thriving. It was demanding work, but the team’s energy never wavered. At one point, Naomi put out her palms showing her gloves - boldly declaring “See You at the Top.” The message couldn’t have been more fitting for a company that literally helps people and approaches every challenge, whether on rooftops or in forests, with determination and heart.

After the morning’s hard work, the team gathered for a well-earned lunch from The Cenacle Bistro in the City of Austell. Before heading out, each volunteer received one of our Grow Kits for their own home gardens.

Through this experience, Georgia Roof Advisors didn’t just lend their strength and spirit: they also provided financial support for My Green Earth’s ongoing work. Months later, we still look back on that sunny, laughter-filled day with gratitude. It was more than just a volunteer project; it was a reminder that when honest businesses like Georgia Roof Advisors invest in their communities, everyone rises to the top.
