Looking back on this year’s St. Patrick’s Day, we can’t help but smile remembering the laughter, teamwork, and bright green accessories that filled the air when Georgia Roof Advisors joined us for an unforgettable Team Building Volunteer Day.
Growing Together with the Braves Foundation and NAPA
The day began with a huge hoorah! as more than 40 volunteers gathered in the neighborhood, greeted with fresh coffee and energy from Dunkin’, ready to roll up their sleeves. Thanks to the efforts of teachers, parents, and students across multiple schools in May, boxes of unused supplies were collected for redistribution to students in need. Together, the community gathered and distributed over $2,200 worth of brand new or like-new supplies to put back into the hands of learners.

Like Bob Ross used to say, life is full of “happy accidents.” For Austell teacher Rebecca Fant, that couldn’t be more true. What began as a career path in international affairs and global issues has shifted into a deeply local mission—teaching Georgia’s history, geography, and environment to middle schoolers while partnering with My Green Earth.
